Amber is a great way of breaking free of the limitations of HTML websites, and presenting your customers with a professional application-style front end without requiring your customers to install or upgrade any extra software. The Web Services-HL7 gateway server acts as a simplified and language-independent layer between internal systems and an HL7 back end. The gateway acts as a server giving a simple XML Service based interface to the Ministry of Health's National Health Index/Medical Warning System. The service calls are then translated into the HL7 messages required by the Ministry of Health. Using the Clearfield NHI Gateway system companies have a simple and scalable interface into the NHI system. For companies creating their own internal systems, the developers are also freed from the complexities of HL7 messaging easing the integration of NHI access into new/existing systems. The Web Services gateway is designed to utilise the entire power of the HL7 protocol, without sacrificing ease of use. When compared to a traditional HL7 protocol stack, or HL7-XML, the Web Services-HL7 Gateway provides all the power, with none of the complexity. The Web Services gateway is compatible with any programming language/environment that can communicate with a Web Service, including Microsoft .NET and Java. The gateway is pre-packaged and is capable of running on a number of different operating systems including Microsoft Windows and most varieties of UNIX. The gateway comes with its own integrated web based management system allowing system administrators to manage the gateway simply and efficiently. The NHI gateway supports the New Zealand subset of HL7 messages. For other countries or more specialised requirements, Clearfield offers custom Web Services-HL7 Gateways.
Clearfield offers a service creating customised Web Services-HL7 gateways. You nominate the HL7 messages you wish to support, and Clearfield will generate a Web Service specifically tailored to your requirements. With a custom gateway, the developers have a core set of simple messages they wish to deal with, and the hundreds of HL7 messages that are irrelevant to your project are hidden away. This Web Services generated are simplified front ends to any HL7 engine. The web services handle all aspects of security, communication, error handling and most implicit HL7 oddities from developers, so they can be productive faster.. |

A 100% Java API that handles all aspects of HL7 messaging. Each HL7 segment is tidily packaged into a java class, providing an extremely intuitive programming model that does not require an intimate knowledge of the HL7 protocol. For non-java programming environments, Clearfield produces a DLL-based HL7 API. This allows HL7 messaging to be included in any native Windows program that is capable of calling functions in a DLL. This API has been to date been used successfully in HL7 applications written in Delphi, Visual Basic and Jade. |
