Ontrack (the New Zealand Railways Corporation) administers the New Zealand railway infrastructure on behalf of the government.

The OMS is one of the main systems that handles the management of the railways, including administering speed restrictions, train timetables and performing a large amount of reporting on the usage of the tracks and
the efficiency of the rail network and its trains.

Clearfield provided a large amount of the original code, and now maintains and enhances the system in collaboration with Ontrack.
